Common Problems and Solutions for Self-Tapping Inserts:

1.Insert Breakage:

Cause: Base material too hard/speed too high.

Solution: For steel base materials, use pre-tapped inserts, reduce speed, and apply cooling and lubrication.

2.Thread Loosening:

Cause: Insufficient installation torque or base material wear.

Solution: Apply thread locker (such as Loctite 243) and strictly adhere to the required torque.

3.Base Material Cracks (Plastic/Wood):

Cause: Hole diameter too small or threading too quickly.

Solution: Enlarge the pre-drilled hole by 0.1mm and thread in stages (thread in one turn → back out → repeat).
